Vancouver Winter Olympics Anniversary – Part 2

CBC Is Looking at You!

Next in my series of posts about the Vancouver Winter Olympic Anniversary is another short video (see below, only about 1 minute). I took this video right after the Adjagas concert (see and hear their music in my last post, Vancouver Winter Olympics Anniversary – Part 1) at the Four Host First Nations Pavilion. If you look at the opening picture of the video below you’ll see a large white sphere – that’s where the concerts took place. To the right of the sphere is a wooden building – that’s where I took this video. Actually, there was a wooden building – both the white sphere-like structure and the building are gone now.

There was quite a bit of Native art for sale in this building. It was nice, but echoing the older ladies I met also admiring the art, the prices were just ‘ridiculous’. If you didn’t come prepared to drop at least $500, there wasn’t much you could afford to buy. My biggest surprise though – and this is for my CBC watching Canadian friends – was running into Peter Mansbridge. Is he ever professional! He did a couple of takes reporting from the FHFN Pavilion just as I was there, and he wasn’t even reading!
